Maintenance Management & Optimisation – Pearl GTL, Ras Laffan, Qatar

Harluc Projects were involved in a major maintenance contract at Pearl GTL, one of the world's largest gas-to-liquids facilities, located at Ras Laffan Industrial City, Qatar. The role involved leading a maintenance team of over 100 personnel across multiple mechanical disciplines, ensuring safe, reliable execution of maintenance activities across the plant.

Beyond day-to-day leadership, we carried out an extensive hands-on tool-time study — directly observing and analysing how maintenance work was actually being executed on the tools. This identified specific processes and systems that were quietly eroding productivity, from workflow bottlenecks to inefficiencies in work preparation and execution.

The findings translated into targeted process improvements, lifting tool-time efficiency and driving measurable gains in maintenance productivity across the contract.
